Expo Explosion Marks the Beginning of the 2018 Season
In traditional style, the annual Expo Explosion marks the beginning of the track and field season. Expo Explosion IX featured a record-setting 290 vaulters, from ages 8 to 78. Yes, the ageless Don Isett - age 78 - cleared 9' 2" to win the 75-79 age group. Don ran the 400 for Clyde Littlefield at the University of Texas and didn't take up vaulting until age 66!
