Service Award

* Do you know a coach who gives selflessly of his or her time to well-deserving causes?

Let's honor this coach who goes beyond the track and/or the field to serve his or her community.

This brand new award honors the memory of Ed Marcinkiewicz, former Texas A&M Assistant Coach and M-F Athletic Representative, whose dedication to the sport of track and field at all levels transcended the sport itself. Ed’s warm heart had a positive impact on everyone he met in every community he visited. The Track & Field staff at M-F Athletic will select each year’s winner.

INAUGURAL RECIPIENT:

RON RoJo JONES
Affectionately known as RoJo by the Texas Track & Field community, Ron Jones is the founder of Inside Texas Track, a website dedicated to promoting Texas high school TF athletes, but most recognize him for the hundreds of hours behind the lens and the thousands of photos he's posted at hundreds of track meets over the years - because he loves the sport. RoJo also holds the all-time Texas State Men's Indoor Triple Jump mark at 53-03.75, while landing fourth in the Long Jump at 25-04. He ranks 6th on the Bobcats' TJ Outdoor mark at 51-05.75 and 7th in the LJ at 25-05.25.

The M-F Athletic Ed Marcinkiewicz Community Service Award will be presented annually at the Texas Track & Field Coaches Association’s Winter Clinic prior to the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
