The Outdoor Season's Right Around the Corner!

January 30, 2018

On Friday, February 9th, the Clear Brook Wolverine Winter Relays and the Deer Park Jim Kethan Relays kick off the 2018 Outdoor Season!  Bound to be another spectacular season where Texas high school student-athletes shine on the national stage, we'll cover as much as humanly possible, including attending meets to post pictures and interviews with established high school stars and names / faces you need to know for the future.

The Outdoor Season also means that we need your help.

Please let us know where your meet results are posted.  There are so many online sites that carry results, we want to make sure we find them all and get them into databases for state and national rankings.  This helps Texas Relays, post-season and recruiting.

Was the meet FAT or Handheld?

Were any meet records or significant PRs set?

Was a wind gauge used?

Are there meets not listed on the calendar that need posting?

Texas is a huge state, and it takes a tremendous amount of effort to cover it.  Our student-athletes and coaches deserve every ounce of recognition they can get.

Every Monday or Tuesday, we'll announce our VS Athletics-TTFCA Athletes of the Week.  If you notice an athlete who performed exceptionally well, e.g. set a major PR or won 4 events at his or her local meet or leads Texas / the US in an event, let us know.

On February 17th, we'll be taking pictures and conducting interviews at the Rockwall Jacket Classic - Sponsored by: the Reynolds Company.  Come on out and say Hello.

May the 2018 Outdoor Season be filled with a ton of personal bests and great story lines.
